How I managed to fix my baby’s skin rash
As a mother, one of my biggest worries was the rash problem. My daughter was very prone to rashes so the little one suffered a lot. A Baby’s skin is more soft and delicate than adults. So they are more vulnerable to skin diseases. Excessive heat, allergy, wrong choice of fabric for clothes, and using non-baby friendly products can cause skin rashes. At the same time, bacterial infections may also be one cause. So, since my baby was suffering I made it a point to learn about this and help my child get rid of the irritation she had to face.
Generally, the mouth, hands, legs, neck, armpits, knees are the most vulnerable areas for rashes. If you see any sign of rash, change your baby’s clothing as soon as possible. From my experience, I can tell you that if you make a delay to change the clothes, rashes will spread in the body very quickly. On top of the regular skin rash, one very common type of rash that a lot of babies may be prone to is diaper rash. Diaper rash may be a result of exposure to prolonged wetness in the diaper area. In my opinion, the best way to avoid diaper rash is to keep their diaper area clean and dry. You can do this by changing diapers immediately after they get wet or soiled. One very useful thing I came across when my baby girl had her first diaper rash was a diaper rash cream. A diaper rash cream with zinc oxide creates a protective barrier from moisture in the diaper, so using it during every diaper change, may help prevent diaper rash.
If your baby has rashes in their face, there are some homemade remedies that may be helpful for you. Oatmeal is known to help relieve the irritation that is caused by itching on the skin. Yogurt, Chamomile Tea, or Banana peels may also be effective. However, you shouldn’t directly use these ingredients on your baby, rather you should try baby-safe products that are enriched with the goddess of these ingredients. Natural herbs like neem or aloe vera are also ingredients I look out for since they are known to have healing properties.
Another important thing you should keep in mind is not to use any unsafe products for babies. I know, there are many products in the market. But my suggestion is to use something that has safe ingredients and has certifications that vouch for its safety. You really should never take risks when it comes to baby products.
Another important thing you should not overlook is not to rub your child’s skin heavily just after bathing. Rub gently so that the towels do not harm the sensitive skin of your baby. Apply moisturizer to your baby’s skin daily. This will keep the level of moisture intact and diminish the possibility of rash in skin.
Lastly, it’s always safe to consult your doctor whenever babies have any rashes on their skin.At home, it’s best to try and take all steps to prevent rashes from appearing. However, in case they do appear, it’s always best to immediately consult an expert.
